Creditwest Bank Was The Only Bank Attended The Most Important Event Of The Finance Sector, Sibos.

The SIBOS 2017 event, in which the future of the world financial market is shaped, was held in Toronto, Canada.

The SIBOS event, where the future of financial markets is shaped by bringing together the leaders of the world financial sector for almost 40 years, was held in Toronto this year. As in the last four years, Creditwest Bank was the only attendee invited from North Cyprus in SIBOS 2017 which organized by Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT).

Creditwest Bank, which attaches great importance to career planning and development of its employees, was represented by Güzide Katırcıoğlu, Duyal Eresen, and Gizem Özkıraç who are experts within Creditwest Bank.

This year, hundreds of speakers with different expertise participated in the 4-day program of SIBOS 2017 under the theme of “Shaping the Future” and assessed the latest trends in the finance sector. SIBOS 2017’s agenda consisted of four main headings; Banking, Money Transfers and Security in Payment Systems, Technological Innovations, and Legislative Alignment.

This year SIBOS, as the most important event of the sector, brought together 8000 experts and international financial institutions, international organizations, technology and infrastructure companies leading the finance sector of the world. In the four-day event, hundreds of speakers participated in the conferences and forums, while more than 200 companies and financial institutions participated in the expo to increase the intra-sector communication.

The SIBOS event is organized by SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications) to develop international banking operations and to ensure that the global financial community is actively and cooperatively engaged in international trade, payments, security and cash management. SWIFT connects 10,000 financial institutions in 212 countries on financial information security.
