Foreign Currency Transfer (SWIFT)

Foreign Currency Transfers FROM your Creditwest Bank account;

Foreign currency transfers may be made at any one of our branches or through online banking or via our award winning mobile application, West Notifier.

The account number / IBAN (International Bank Account Number) of the recipient is necessary for foreign currency transfers.

The details below must be provided accurately and in full for your transfer to take place without delay and for payment to be made to the recipient.

  • Recipient Full Name /Company Name
  • Recipient Account Number / IBAN
  • Recipient Bank Name
  • Recipient Bank Country and Branch Location
  • SWIFT / BIC / ABA / SORT CODE etc
  • Who will pay the transfer Charges – Sender, Recipient or Shared
  • Currency

In European Union member states the IBAN is widely used instead of the account number. For transfers to these countries, the IBAN number is essential.

Foreign Currency transfers TO your Creditwest account.

The following information is necessary in order to receive foreign currency transfers from other banks to your accounts. When sending funds to us, please ensure that you include the full name and Creditwest Bank account number. When transferring money to Creditwest Bank by SWIFT the sending bank should be instructed to:

  • Pay the funds to our appropriate correspondent bank, as mentioned below
  • Use the swift code/BIC of our correspondent bank
  • Use the IBAN of our bank, held at the correspondent bank
  • The Recipient Name and Surname and Creditwest account number should be entered in the remittance information area on the transfer
